De KLM biedt diverse mogelijkheden om vanuit Schiphol Amsterdam naar Bonaire te vliegen.

Zo gaan er op bepaalde dagen directe vluchten naar Bonaire. Er gaan ook KLM vluchten naar Bonaire met een tussenstop op Aruba of Curacao.

Maar er worden ook KLM vluchten aangeboden met een overstap op Curacao naar Insel Air en daar zal een waarschuwing voor uit moeten gaan, namelijk:

Als u als passagier op Schiphol instapt en daar nog een flesje drank in de tax free shop wilt kopen, dan is dat weggegooid geld. Uw overstap is op Curacao en daar zal u met al uw handbagage en een sealed package met uw drankje uit het KLM vliegtuig moeten en zal u door de security van (Hato airport) gecontroleerd worden.

Daar zullen zij het heerlijke flesje drank van u afnemen, ook al is het geseald. Tien meter verder kunt u het zelfde drankje hoogstwaarschijnlijk weer opnieuw kopen in een sealed package op Curacao.

Dus Bonaire passagiers vermijdt de overstap van KLM naar Insel Air op Curacao!!

Je kan ook zeggen neem geen drankje mee.

Hieronder vindt de security instructies van het vliegveld Hato op Curacao.

Hetzelfde is ook, dat vanuit Bonaire met Insel Air naar Medellin Colombia en terug gevlogen kan worden, ook dan neemt de security uw kostbare drankje af. Een mede passagier die op Curacao uitstapt kan ongestoord het drankje meenemen.

Conclusie: Alle vliegtuigmaatschappijen die op Curacao vliegen moeten de informatie vooraf geven aan hun passagiers. 

Curaçao International Airport heeft geen transitruimte

De regels zijn als volgt:

With the introduction of liquids, aerosol and gels (LAGs) checks that will be introduced on March 15, 2013 at Curacao International Airport, Aereopuerto Hato.  The LAGS / Shoes screening will be conducted at the checkpoints.

PROCEDURE

1. All passengers entering at a screening point will only be allowed to carry one quarter- sized, clear zip to bag with 3.4 oz. (100 ml) or smaller containers with liquids and gels. (3.1.1.)
2. Passengers must present with their 3.1.1. separately from their hand baggage at the security checkpoint.
3. The LAGs must be fit comfortably in the transparent plastic zip top bag (containers).
4. LAGs in a container larger than 100ml is unacceptable even if the container is partially filled.

TRANSIT AND TRANSFER PASSENGERS

1. LAGs in any volume that have been purchased at airport outlets or on board of an aircraft are not permitted through Security Check-point 1.
2. All transit and transfer passengers must comply with the 3.1.1.
3. STEBs are not allowed via Check-point No. 2 nor Check-point No. 1.

With reference to the above the Curacao Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) will remind you to inform all your stations abroad that if Curacao is being used as a secondary departure all transit and transfer passengers shall undergo the LAGs checks (screening).

All LAGs items that have been purchased in other station or onboard an aircraft will be confiscated.
