Komishon Festival di Planta Palu
STINAPA-KIBRAHACHA-BANBONEIRUBEK
Op 21 november a.s. zal er voor de tweede keer een “Festival di Planta Palu” (Boomfeestdag) georganiseerd worden. Dit jaar zal dit feest plaatsvinden bij de ingang van het Washington Park.
Als onderdeel hiervan heeft de medewerker van Natuur- en Milieueducatie, Desiree Croes, in groep 6 van alle basisscholen een verhaal verteld en daarna een tekenwedstrijd georganiseerd. De kinderen hebben heel enthousiast meegedaan en het was bepaald niet gemakkelijk voor de jury (Jacky Bernabela van SKAL; Manuela Winklaar, kunstenaar en Desiree Croes van STINAPA) om 13 genomineerden te selecteren. Maar het is wel gelukt. Alle basisscholen zijn vertegenwoordigd en hebben één of meer genomineerden. Dank aan de leerkrachten die de kinderen gemotiveerd hebben om mee te doen.

Uit de genomineerden zal de jury een winnaar kiezen en zijn/haar tekening wordt de officiële poster van de “Festival di Planta Palu 2010”. Met de 12 overige tekeningen zal een kalender gemaakt worden voor de “Festival di Planta Palu 2011”.

As part of the “Festival di Planta Palu” (Tree Planting Festival) which will be held on November 21st at the entrance of the Washington/Slagbaai Park, the co-worker of STINAPA in charge of education, Desiree Croes, told the children of group 6 at the primary schools a nice story and followed it up with a painting contest. It was nice to see the enthusiasm of the kids and the results were great. Many thanks to the teachers, who motivated their class to perform well. All primary schools sent in paintings and it wasn’t easy for the judges (Jacky Bernabela of SKAL; Manuela Winklaar, artist and Desiree Croes of STINAPA-NME) to choose the 13 nominees.

The judges will now select one winner and his/her painting will be the official poster for the “Festival di Planta Palu 2010”. The other 12 paintings will be used to make a calendar for 2011, in which all primary schools will be represented.
